Summary
Works to accelerate strategy to execution. Partners closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify and validate applicable business capabilities and apply them to business architecture artifacts. Conducts business capability assessments, strategic readiness assessments, and builds business capability roadmaps to help inform the strategic planning process.
Duties
- Oversee the creation and governance of business architecture artifacts and methodologies to support business goals.
- Follow business architecture practices to elicit needs, analyze opportunities, and provide workable solutions.
- Works closely with business partners to assess technologies, processes, and data.
- Oversees maintenance, validation, and governance of the Business Capability Model.
- Maintains the repository for the Business Capability Model.
- Develops, maintains, and ensures consistency amongst Business Architecture artifacts.
- Develops and delivers presentations to audiences at all levels.
- Apply modeling techniques to illustrate business capability-to-technology alignment.
- Understands the meanings and relationships between various Business Architecture artifacts.
- Works with business stakeholders and the Strategic Planning Team to align business capability roadmaps with the long-term strategic plan.
- Provides comprehensive Business Architecture consultation to business and IT stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure expectations are understood and met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management of Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- Five years of experience working as a business architect.
- Excellent analysis skills to include problem solving, data analysis, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to be viewed as trusted advisor to stakeholders.
- Initiative-taker mentality.
- Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly and refine/prioritize as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, Management of Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working with strategic planning processes.
- Experience working with architecture modeling tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Business Architecture certification.
