Description

Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an international event on March 31 dedicated to recognizing the resilience and accomplishments of the transgender community. The day celebrates Transgender and Gender Non-Binary (TGNB) individuals. It raises awareness about the transgender and gender non-binary community, their struggles, and what allies can do to eliminate the barriers this community faces.

Our Chamber will celebrate TDOV by holding Transformation in the Workplace.
The day consists of three separate but interrelated acts.

Training Classes
Attendees will learn how to better create an inclusive and equitable work environment for TGNB employees and co-workers.
(Registration will open in March for classes with detailed descriptions)

Inclusion Resource Fair
The fair offers local organizations to exhibit their resources focused on the TGNB community. Business allies and community members are encouraged to attend the fair.

Panel on Allyship
The panel will consist of TGNB employees sharing their workplace experiences and recommendations for how the business community can further equity for the TGNB Community.

The day will also include art curated by No Divide KC and Kansas City Academy!

Parking: Give yourself plenty of time to find parking in the downtown area. There is limited off-street parking. You can park in the KC Public Library, Unfortunately, we cannot validate parking for you.

Covid Guidelines: We will follow local mask guidelines - They will be encouraged but not required. We do ask that all attendees are vaccinated against Covid-19.

We look forward to a great day with you!
