  • You will be provided with a bar coded sticker for the parking ticket

Description:  
The Small Business Administration will present a panel discussing Lending, Contracting, and information regarding the Small Business Development Center.

Attendees:
This event is for Chamber members.

We encourage and welcome LGBTBEs and other small business owners to join us.

Panelists:
Ram Basnet (he/him), Deputy District Director in the SBA’s Kansas City District Office
Ram joined the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2018. As the Deputy District Director in the SBA’s Kansas City District Office, he is responsible for the oversight of SBA Programs and Services delivery across 28 counties in Eastern Kansas and 61 counties in Western Missouri. Basnet is also the Project Officer for the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network. In this role, Basnet conducts onsite compliance reviews of the SBDC lead center and service centers. Prior to SBA, Basnet worked at Cerner, US Army, and Deloitte. Basnet did his undergraduate in Economics from Brigham Young University and his MBA in Finance from Missouri State University.

Igor Soares (he/him) Business Opportunity Specialist
Igor came to the Kansas City District Office by transferring from the Richmond District Office, where he worked as a Lead Business Opportunity Specialist. He brings more than seven years of experience in government contracting and business development. Prior to joining the SBA, Mr. Soares was a Peace Corps volunteer in Costa Rica supporting emerging businesses and microlenders.
