Black entrepreneurs are often over mentored and under-resourced.
Venture Noire, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Black and minority entrepreneurs, will hold its first Kansas City event titled Let’s Venture, a resource networking fair and panel discussion on the future of Black business, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, September 24, 2021 at Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. Presented through the generosity of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; Let’s Venture will showcase the impact of Venture Noire’s core programs through panelists’ business journeys, and connect attendees to other existing entrepreneurial support organizations and resources across Kansas City. Panelists include: Thalia Cherry, Founder, Cherry Co. Sportsgear; Jannae Gammage, Co-Founder, The Market Base; Dan Smith, Co-Founder, Porter House KC; alongside Keenan Beasley and moderator Godfrey Riddle.
