DESCRIPTION:Would you like to walk with the Chamber in the KC PrideFest Pride Parade 2025?\n\n\n\nJoin the colorful procession starting at Westport Road and Broadway Blvd\, marching south on Broadway\, turning onto Mill Creek Parkway\, and concluding at Theis Park. \n\n\n\nPlease click the "Register" button to the right if you're interested in walking with us.\n\n \nOur Check in Time: 9:45 am\n\nLine Up Area: Purple\n\nEntry #: 158\n \n\nOrder of Parade Entry:\n\nRed\n\nYellow\n\nGreen\n\nBlue\n\nPurple (this is us)\n \n\nParade Route Update:\n\nAt the start of the parade on Broadway\, there is now a two-block-long concrete median strip.\n\nWe will enter the parade route by turning onto the WEST side of the median.\n\nWe will stay on the west side of the median as we move forward along Broadway.\n\nAfter two blocks\, when the median ends\, we will merge into the center of the road and continue the parade route as normal.\n\n\nHospitality Stops:\n\nQ KC and Westport Presbyterian Church\n\nA place to cool off.\n\nAccess to restrooms.\n\nPorta potties will also be available along the parade route.\n \n\nMedia Coverage:\n\nParade is not being televised\, but there will be individuals live streaming the parade on social media platforms.\n \n\nItem Distribution Guidelines:\n\nDue to cyclists participating along the parade route\, we are not being allowed to pass out items while moving.\n\nHowever\, we can hand out items while waiting our group's turn to enter the parade.\n \n\nSafety Measures:\n\nThere will be 70 police officers stationed throughout the parade.\n\nDump trucks and concrete barriers will be placed at strategic street intersections to block unauthorized access and ensure the safety of all participants.\n\nAs of today\, there are NO known active threats.
