SUMMARY:Guns to Gardens Safe Surrender
DESCRIPTION:Last year\, Central Presbyterian Church hosted Kansas City's first Guns to Gardens event\, and are now planning a second event to take place this October. Guns to Gardens is a safe surrender event\, where individuals are invited to safely and anonymously surrender their unwanted firearms. The unwanted firearms are then dismantled on site. In partnership with a local blacksmith\, the dismantled pieces are then made into garden tools\, jewelry\, and home decorations\, among other things.
